CITY GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED -CLOSURE PLAN HAS TERMINATED

We are delighted to inform you that the Closure Plan pursuant to Part 26 of the Companies Act 2006 of Great Britain between City General Insurance Company Limited ("City General") and its Eligible Policyholders (as defined in the Closure Plan) has now terminated.

The business included in the Closure Plan consisted of the insurance and reinsurance policies previously assumed from Generali Assurances Générales ("GAG") pursuant to Part VII of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. These policies were written by GAG in the United Kingdom between 1 January 1956 and 17 March 1970 under its former name Swiss Union General Insurance Company. All claims in respect of these policies that were notified to City General prior to the Final Claims Submission Date have been determined and their values paid in full in accordance with the terms of the Closure Plan. Accordingly, the Closure Plan has now terminated pursuant to clause 35.

Please note that policyholders have no right to any payment in respect of claims that were not notified to City General prior to the Final Claims Submission Date.
